Objectives

• To promote treatment and rehabilitation of alcohol and drug dependency.
• To provide necessary support to alcohol and/or drug dependent persons and their families in need of help.

Drug and alcohol addiction is a disease. Already many young lives have been devoured. Of late, many reported cases of drug overdose within short intervals have alarmed the general public. This has given rise to much concern among the RGOB, NGOs like the YDF, and parents. While agencies in the Ministries of Health and Education are working vigorously in awareness and preventive programs, youth who are already addicts and need help are marginalized as there are no recovery or treatment programs as such. Rewa has been established to provide these much needed services.

Achievements

Rewa has successfully rehabilitated 36 youth and helped to raise a lot of awareness about drug and alcohol abuse. It has now become the first drug rehabilitation centre in the country.
